Today’s Tip
I’ll never forget the day I walked into a room full of angel investors. My pitch was ready, but my hands were shaking. These were people who had money to invest, people I needed to impress. But as I spoke, something shifted. I stopped trying to sell them on my business and started showing them how it could change the game.
Angel investors are different. They don’t just look for numbers. They look for potential. They want to see your vision, your drive. And so, I gave them a piece of that. I told them how I saw the industry evolving, how my business fit perfectly into that future, and how their investment could help shape that journey. It wasn’t just about funding; it was about building something together.
A few weeks later, I received an offer. It wasn’t huge, but it was enough to push us forward. I realized something important: angel investors don’t just give money; they invest in people. They’re not looking for a perfect plan; they’re looking for someone who can adapt and grow with the business.
I see the value in those early relationships. Angel investment can be a powerful source of funding, but it’s not just about the check, but the partnership. If you can show potential and commitment, the right investors will believe in you and your business.

Trivia
Today’s Question: What is the name of the popular pinboard-style photo-sharing website that launched in 2010?
Previous Question: Where did XEROX Corporation get its name?
Previous Answer: Xerox is a shortened form of the word Xerography.
Xerography is the name of the process that was invented in 1938 by Chester Carlson and developed by the Haloid Company into the first fully automatic plain paper copier, the Xerox 914, in 1959. Xerography is a modern word developed from two Greek roots meaning "dry writing."
Shortly after releasing the Xerox 914, The Haloid Company began a transition to a new name, Xerox Corporation. The name Xerox was taken from the term Xerography, and shortened using the model of the name of Kodak, the other large technology company in Rochester, NY at the time.
